St. Logos has operated as a
small Internet used book
seller for nearly a decade. It
specializes in nonfiction,
scholarly and out-of-print
books in areas such as math,
engineering and physics. The
store offers a broader selection,
including contemporary
fiction and children’s books.
It is owned by Peter Linz,
a UC Davis emeritus professor
of math and computer
science, and his wife, Susan.
Profits from book sales are
split between the international
relief organizations
Save the Children and Doctors
without Borders. Since
2000, it has contributed
more than $45,000 to the
charities.
Logos purchases used
books at competitive prices,
and welcome donations,
Susan Linz said.
