Thursday night’s poetry evening was attended by a nice-sized crowd. After a few minutes of chatting, we gathered to hear the poems of Quinton Duval, read by his friend and colleague Sarah Phelan. Poems from Joe’s Rain and Guerilla Letters, as well as two poems from his new collection that will be published later this spring, Like Hay, delighted one and all.
Lynne Knight, another colleague of Q’s, read one of his poems before reading to us from a selection of her own published poems (many from her fourth collection, Again, as well as two new poems that are yet to be published.
Books by both poets were available for sale after the readings. Tea and baked goods rounded out the evening – allowing for ample time for visiting and exchange of ideas.
