If you missed last night’s splendid readings by poets Edythe Schwartz and Bob Stanley, you can at least comfort yourself with some of the photos of an evening that was simply delightful for all in attendance. Sarah Phelan started us off with one of Quinton Duval’s poems from the collection “Dinner Music”.
Edythe then read from a variety of her poems, many of which were associated with pieces of art and in the voice of viewer, subject or writer. The pièce de résistance, though, was the reading of her poem “July 1943”, immediately reprised by poet Bob Stanley when he took the floor and read it with banjo accompaniment.
Bob’s whimsical verse was next up, and enjoyed by one and all. Light refreshments and good conversation wrapped up the evening.
Here are some photos and we do hope that you can join us next time!
